Benefits of Paying Privately "Out of Pocket" for Therapy:

You can choose the therapist who is right for you: When you pay privately, you have the freedom to choose a therapist who is a good fit for you, both in terms of their personality and their approach to therapy. You can also choose a therapist who is located in a convenient location and who has availability that works for you.

You can choose the type of therapy that is right for you: There are many different types of therapy available, and not all of them are covered by insurance. If you want to try a specific type of therapy you may need to pay for it out of pocket.

You can have more sessions: If you need more than a few sessions of therapy, you may be able to get more sessions if you pay for them out of pocket. This is because insurance companies often have limits on the number of sessions they will cover.

You don't have to have a diagnosis: If you don't want to have a diagnosis on your medical record, you can pay for therapy out of pocket. This is because insurance companies often require a diagnosis in order to cover therapy.

If you are considering paying for therapy out of pocket, there are a few things you should keep in mind. First, therapy can be expensive, so you need to make sure that you can afford it. Second, you should do some research to find a therapist who is a good fit for you.

If you are considering paying for therapy out of pocket, I encourage you to schedule a free 15 minute consultation with one of our clinicians to discuss the benefits and drawbacks and help you decide if it is right for you.
